Executive Assistant to a Board Member
The assistant will have the unique opportunity to work extremely closely with a Bertelsmann Board Member or Chief Executive Officer in his or her strategic and operative work. In addition, many assistants generally have the opportunity to take a lead role in driving larger projects within the business and/or division they work.
In this 12 to 18 month international program, participants work on a series of strategic endeavors. The scope of these projects will focus on formulating and implementing strategies to create potential future revenue streams and maximize our shareholder value.
Certain assignments may involve travel to Bertelsmann locations throughout the world, allowing the program participant to observe first-hand the diversity of Bertelsmann’s business units. Therefore, finding a niche that best suits their interests is a key benefit to this position.
Additionally, assistants will have direct access to interact with our top management throughout the Bertelsmann family via educational and networking events.
You will learn up close how our management operates and how important decisions are made. You will be personally and professionally challenged through direct participation in decision-making processes and proximity to decision-makers.
We are looking for people who will take advantage of the freedom offered to them in a creative and entrepreneurial manner and who have very good project and professional experience, in addition to an outstanding university diploma; ideally, this would be supplemented by additional qualifications (doctorate or MBA).
Please note that the Executive Assistantship is not a program, but rather direct entry into Bertelsmann.
